I have just returned from hosting a memorable private group cultural adventure in Bhutan. The trip design involved a combination of boutique private lodge buy outs, wonderful day hikes, multiple private ceremonies and a colourful visit to the Dechenphu cham festival outside Thimphu, which is open open to foreign visitors only on the day of the festivities. We were also fortunate to experience, and participate in an intimate tantric puja in honour of the Goddess Tara in a small, off-the-beaten track gompa in Wangdue. Last but not least, archery; where one 'lucky' guest hit the target twice in succession, and recorded the first ever 'double tap' that any of us had ever witnessed (locals included)!
