In April 2019, our 10-strong team forged a new and spectacular route from the foothils of the Dhaulagiri range towards Lower Dolpo, in western Nepal. Along the way, we encountered some of the most extensive rhododendron forest we have ever seen, experienced wonderful mountain views, and fell in love with this mostly unexplored (we saw no other groups) corner of the Himalayas. It just goes to show, that even in a country as heavily trekked as Nepal, there is always a fresh approach to doing things, and new sights to discover.
