Mongolia in winter; you must be mad! Truthfully though, this is one of the most rewarding trips that I have ever done. I have experienced an authentic eagle hunt on several occasions now, and while the spectacular sight of man and raptor working in age-old harmony never fails to amaze, there is something magical about immersing oneself in the time-honoured rythmns of a nomadic migration, and actively helping to shepherd a family's livestock through foothills of the Altai Mountains. This is a tradition that is fading fast, even in Mongolia, where these days the bulk of transhumance is typically done by truck. So why not join us in 2027, before it disappears for good.
